The Hon. Governor conducted a field visit to the underdeveloped villages of Chinnavalayankaddu and Parasan Kulam in the Mannar District.
The Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, stated that all possible assistance would be provided to support the economic development of the people in Chinnavalayankaddu and Parasan Kulam, which are economically disadvantaged villages. He further noted that suitable development plans identified by the people themselves would be carefully considered to improve their livelihoods

“The government led by the current President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is demonstrating strong commitment to ensuring that education and healthcare services reach people in even the most underserved villages without hindrance. In this context, the Iranai Iluppaikulam Primary Health Care Center can also be considered for future upgrading with improved facilities,” stated the Hon. Governor
“Sisu Seriya” bus service to be fully expanded in the Northern Province to ensure safe travel for school students and teachers
The Chairman of the Northern Province Road Passenger Transport Authority, Engineer S. Vimaleswaran, has stated that the “Sisu Seriya” bus service will soon be fully expanded across the Northern Province with the aim of ensuring safe transportation for school students, teachers, and higher education students. He also noted that this initiative will directly benefit students
