“To be a leading resource and training center that empowers Cooperative Development Officers to perform their duties with professionalism, efficiency, and accountability to foster strong collaboration with leaders, board members, producers, and employees of cooperative institutions in the Northern Province; and to promote effective resource utilization and active engagement across key sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, livestock, and small-scale industries, thereby contributing significantly to the sustainable economic development of the Northern Province.”

“To create a dynamic cooperative learning environment that develops the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of Cooperative Development Officers of the Northern Provincial Department of Cooperative Development, as well as members, board directors, and staff of cooperative institutions-thereby strengthening effective and efficient management and leadership, and fostering the growth of strong, capable, and sustainable cooperative enterprises.”

Function

• Provide training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of co-operative members, staff, and management.
• Develop training materials and conduct research to support the growth and effectiveness of co-operative sector.
• Offer guidance and consultancy on management, finance, and governance of co-operative societies.
• Promote co-operative values, awareness, and best practices among members and the public of Northern Province.
• Evaluate training programs and work with relevant institutions to strengthen the co-operative sector of Northern Province.
