Develop sports activities providing sports equipment, physical and technical assistance to develop the standard of sports in Northern Province.

Functions

• Preparation of sports calendar
• Making motivation to the players to increase sports participation in Northern Province
• Organizing to conduct the coaching camps on team games
• Conducting the Athletic Coaching camps
• Following up to the circular coming from Ministry of Sports and Sports Development Department time to time
• Making facilities to the players to be participated on National and International level
• Providing Awareness Programs to the Sports officers, Coachers
• Preparation of year plan, Progress Reports, Achievements Reports, Administration Reports and other sports data calling from other Department and Institutions
• Conducting Inter Ministries Tournaments
• Organizing colours night programs
• Implementing sports Infrastructure activities through Divisional, District Secretaries in Northern Province
• Updating of Sports data
• Conducting District wise Sports Developments meeting
• Registration of Sports Clubs.
