A project for reconstructing the Jaffna Central Bus Stand as a modernized bus station will be launched soon.
During the visit to Jaffna on 27th January 2019, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Arjuna Ranatunga explained that how the modern bus standard will look like and about the pre-construction works to be started.
Jaffna Mayor Immanuel Arnold welcomed the Minister visiting the Jaffna bus stand and explained to him about the changes to occur in the existing bus stand, other development works and preparations made in government level.
Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan and officials from Northern Region Sri Lanka Transport Board were also present in the events.
