N. Thavalojini has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Department of Motor Traffic of Northern Province.
Her letter of appointment was handed over yesterday – on Friday, 07 August 2026, at the Governor’s Secretariat by Sivapathasundaram Sathiyaseelan, Secretary to the Governor of the Northern Province.
Following the release of K. Kanchana, who served as the Commissioner of the Northern Provincial Department of Motor Traffic, for service in the Central Government, N. Thavalojini has been appointed to the resulting vacancy.
