A discussion between the representatives of Jaffna District Cricket Association and Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan was held yesterday (24) at Governor’s Secretariat.
The discussion focused on the development of cricket in Jaffna, the establishment of a cricket academy in Jaffna and the problem of setting up a cricket ground. They requested the Governor to find better solutions for the issues.
The representatives also requested the Governor to assist in incorporating and developing the hardball cricket under Sports Department. Governor assured that positive actions would be taken to develop the sports sector.
