American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alaina B.Teplitz and Netherlands Ambassador to Sri Lanka Joanne Doornewaard called on Governor Dr. Suren Raghavan at his secretariat in Jaffna on 07th March 2019.
The current situation of the Northern Province was discussed during this meeting and the economic conditions of the Jaffna people were also discussed.
Governor explained the economic problems faced by the north people who were severely affected by the civil war and he requested the two foreign diplomats to pay attention to the possible measures to develop these people economically. Governor also pointed out the needs of Sri Lankans and experts living abroad to build the Northern Province.
