Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan said that cooperatives should be a matter of civilization on humanitarian grounds. The greatest power behind the Co-operative Societies is women’s power.
Governor mentioned this while participating as a Chief Guest in the event of ‘Thrift & Credit Cooperative Societies’ Sangamam’ organized Federation of Vavuniya District Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies at Vavuniya Urban Cultural Hall yesterday (17).
We are going to create a bank with all the cooperative societies. Thus the Northern Province Co-operative Development Bank will be established. The purpose of this bank is to learn national and international methods to make your work better and more robust. This must be developed from the grass-root level. Governor also added.
