Three books by St. Anthony’s Drama, St. Sebastiaan Vasakappa, and History of Mannar Garden Tamil Poetry by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Education, Cultural Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, Northern Province. The launching ceremony was held at Manthai North Multipurpose Co-operative Society Hall on Sunday 20.12.2020 at 3.00 pm under the chairmanship of the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Mr. E. Ilangovan.
Emanuel Fernando, Bishop of Mannar District, and Mr. A. Paththinathan, Chief Secretary of the Northern Province were present on the occasion. Mrs. A. Sranli de Mel, District Government Agent, was also the Chief Guest And special guests and distinguished guests attended and featured.
Mannar District Artists welcomed the guests. Mrs.Sujeeva Sivthas Assistant Director, Department of Cultural Affairs welcomed them. As well as speeches by prime guests. All three books have been published with their keynote address. Artists for texts were also honored. Mannar District folk artists and the general public attended the event.
