Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, State Minister of Batik, Fabrics and Local Apparel Products visits to Handloom and sales centres located at Veppankulam Ambalangoda and Vairavapuliyankulam in Vavuniya District under Department of Industries, Northern Province on 19th February 2022.
During the visit, he handed over the newly manufactured handlooms under the Ministry’s allocation to the Veppangulam and the Ambalangoda Handloom Weaving centres and also handed over the required yarn to the weavers. In addition formal tree planting event was also performed by the Minister in each centre.
He also visited local apparel products and met the manufacturers and expressed his appreciation and said that he would listen to their grievances and give them the incentives they need in the future.
