Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province jointly made a field visit with unit of Siddha Medicine University of Jaffna to Delft Island and conducted scientific mapping to identify the diversity of medicinal plants.
This field visit was orgarnized by Humedica International Lanka to develop a comprehensive and scientific document on flora, fauna, natural & historical unique assets in a way of uplifting the overall living standards of Delft Island.
Provincial Commissioner of Indigenous Medicine – Northern Province, Medical Officer In – Charge – Government Herbal Garden-Navakiri, Medical Officer In – Charge – Government Herbal Garden-Kalmadunagar, Community Medical Officers and other staffs participated in this field visit and submitted reports related to it.
