Dear Students,
I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the students of the Northern Province who will be sitting for the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Examination, which commences tomorrow – on Monday 10August 2026.
Based on last year’s Advanced Level Examination results, the Northern Province had the distinction of securing first place in the country. That achievement is not merely a statistic; it is recognition of the perseverance of our students, the sacrifices of parents, and the dedication of teachers.
This year too, the responsibility of maintaining that distinction rests on your shoulders. Do not consider that responsibility a burden, but rather regard it as a rare opportunity to demonstrate your abilities to the world.
An examination is not the ultimate goal that determines your entire life. However, it is a very important gateway to the next stage of your life. Therefore, enter the examination hall not with fear or anxiety, but with confidence and peace of mind. Have faith in the hard work you have put in over the past months. Read each question carefully and write what you know clearly and confidently.
Each and every one of you carries not only the dreams of your family, but also the hopes of the Northern Province. Each of your successes will further enhance the educational pride of the Northern Province.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the loving parents and teachers. Their sacrifices and dedication for the success of the students are immeasurable. I also request them to provide students with encouragement and peace of mind during this examination period and to stand by them.
Students,
You can do it. You have worked for this. Move forward with confidence. Make your dreams a reality. Further elevate the educational tradition of the Northern Province.
I wholeheartedly wish that all the students sitting for the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Examination will achieve excellent results and fulfil their life goals.
Meanwhile, a total of 19,879 candidates will sit for this year’s examination, comprising 16,699 school candidates and 3,180 private candidates. In the Northern Province, 153 examination centres, 50 coordination centres, and 6 regional collection centres have been established.
