A meeting was held between Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan and the members of Vavuniya Urban Council and Pradeshiya Sabhas in the Vavuniya Town Hall today (19).
The current status of the Urban Council and Pradeshiya Sabhas, public welfare activities carried out through them and issues and challenges faced when implementing the activities were discussed in detail.
Secretary to the Governor L.Ilaangovan, Secretary of Local Government Secretary, Commissioner of Local Government, Asst. Commissioner of Local Governor – Vavuniya District, Chairmen of Local Authorities and members were also present in the discussion.
