International Women’s Day – 2022 was celebrated by Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine – Northern Province on 8th of March 2022 at Auditorium, Central Community Center Viswamadu, Mullaiteevu.
Awareness programmes were conducted on healthy life style of women based on the important stages of their life through Indigenous Medicine by Community Medical Officers. Traditional doctors were honored in this event and further more nurseries of herbs also provided to the guests.
Senior Assistant Secretary Ministry of Health, Indigenous Medicine and Probation and Childcare Services, Commissioner – Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine Northern Province, Supervisory Community Medical Officer, Ayurvedic Coordinating Officer – Mullaitevu, Community Medical Officers, Women and public highlighted this occasion.
