A discussion on the educational development of the Analaitivu and Eluvaitivu regions was held this Friday evening (31.10.2025) at the Governor’s Secretariat, under the chairmanship of the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan.
In accordance with the decisions taken at the initial discussion on this matter, the Northern Province Director of Education, Mr. Y. Jayachandran, had conducted a field visit to the said regions and submitted his observations. Based on his report, today’s meeting deliberated on the follow-up actions to be implemented.
Furthermore, it was decided at today’s discussion to conduct additional classes for students appearing for the upcoming G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination next year, with the support of Jaffna Hindu College, to enhance their preparedness.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary to the Governor of the Northern Province, the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture – Northern Province, the Deputy Chief Secretary – Administration – Northern Province, the Provincial Director of Education – Northern Province, the Divisional Secretary of Kayts, and the Principal of Jaffna Hindu College.
