As part of the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple Annual Festival 2026, a Carnatic devotional music concert presented by Carnatic musician Kalaimamani Sharatha Raghav and her troupe, who arrived from India, was successfully held this evening – on Monday, 07 September 2026, at the Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre in Jaffna, with the participation of the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan. The event was organized by the Consulate General of India in Jaffna.
At the invitation of the Consulate General of India, the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, attended the event with his wife and graced the occasion.
At the musical concert held under the leadership of Kalaimamani Sharatha Raghav, who arrived from India, songs were presented with exceptional vocal prowess, musical elegance and devotional feeling, while the musical performances of the accompanying artists added further distinction to the event. Along with Kalaimamani Sharatha Raghav, other musicians including mridangam artist Ramesh; and keyboard artist Rajinikanth also participated.
Consul General of India in Jaffna Shri Sai Murali, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jaffna T. Velnambi, Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya Mohanathas, art enthusiasts and members of the public participated in the event.
