A special discussion on proposed ‘Progress Arumugam’ Project to address the drinking water needs of the Jaffna and Kilinochchi Districts was held at the Mahaweli Development Department yesterday (22) afternoon under the patronage of Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan with the participation of the Secretary of Mahaweli Development and Environment Ministry Anura Dissanayake.
The practical problems encountered during and before the commencement of the project were discussed with the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment, Department of Wildlife Conservation, Environment Protection Authority and other relevant agencies.
