Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan visited Point Pedro Harbour which is to be renovated with the financial support Asian Development Bank in order to improve the livelihood of the fishermen of Point Pedro and observed the pre-development process.
During the visit, the challenges in implementing this project were discussed. Governor also visited the Methodist Girls’ College which is located near the harbour and had a discussion with the parents, representatives of Old Students Association and the Director of Point Pedro Research Institute Muthukrishna Sarvananthan.
Then Governor visited Nadarajah open stadium which is located at Point Pedro beach and had casual talks with the people of the area.
