The appointment letters for the officers selected for the three Supervisor positions that had remained vacant for a long period at the Valikamam West Pradeshiya Sabha were handed over today – on Tuesday 11 August 2026, by the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, at the Governor’s Secretariat.
Based on the interview held on 2026.07.01, Kanapathippillai Jeyaseelan has been appointed as Health Supervisor, Parameswaran Theepan as Works and Field Supervisor, and Thuraisamy Gajan as Market Supervisor.
The Commissioner of Local Government of the Northern Province S. Sutharsan, the Assistant Commissioner of Local Government – Jaffna District Pratheepan and Secretary of the Valikamam West Pradeshiya Sabha Balaruban also participated in the event.
