The inauguration ceremony of the Sivabhoomi Thiruvasaka Arangam in Navatkuli was held with the participation of the Honorable Governor.

The inauguration ceremony of the Sivabhoomi Thiruvasaka Arangam, established at the Navalkuli Sivabhoomi Thiruvasaka Aranmanai, was held on Monday evening, 14 July 2025. The event was attended by the Honorable Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, and held under the patronage of Dr. Aru. Thirumurugan. Australian medical expert Y. Manomohan and Sivagouri, the sponsor of the hall, participated as the chief guests.

Speaking at the event, the Governor remarked that the Durgadevi Amman Temple in Tellippalai stands as a model for how spiritual institutions can also engage in meaningful social work. He noted that the temple was founded by Thangamma Appakutty, and referred to Dr. Aru. Thirumurugan as the “pearl” she discovered—highlighting his contributions and dedication

Today, many temples are facing various issues. Every day, people approach me with different problems related to temples—each one unique in its nature. I believe these issues stem from the mindset that some individuals consider themselves greater than God. If the money spent on legal disputes over temples were instead directed toward public welfare, it could bring immense benefits to society
Today, Hinduism is facing significant pressures from external forces and is in a constant struggle to overcome these challenges.

When you strive to do good, challenges are inevitable. However, Dr. Aru. Thirumurugan continues his work undeterred. Very few individuals truly earn the trust of the people—but in his case, it is his transparency and integrity that inspire confidence and support for the initiatives he leads

n today’s world, it is rare to find people with a genuine heart to help. However, the support extended by medical expert Dr. Manomohan and his wife is truly commendable,” the Governor noted in his speech.
