The opening ceremony of the newly created Irrigation Engineering Office – Kilinochchi West was held on 21 August 2020. Hon. Governor of Northern Province Mrs.P.S.M Charles graced the event as Chief Guest and declared open the building.
Chief Secretary of Northern Province Mr.A.Pathinathan, Government Agent of Kilinochchi Mrs.R.Ketheesawaran, Secretary of Agriculture Ministry Mr.A.Sivabalasundran ,Deputy Chief Secretary – Engineering Services Eng.S.Shanmuhananthan, Deputy Director of Irrigation, Irrigation Engineers, Divisional Secretary – Karachchi, Divisional Secretary –Poonaryn, Divisional Secretary – Kandawalai, representatives of Farmers’ Societies and other relevant officials also participated in this event.
