Governor of Northern Province Mrs. PSM Charles participated at the Jaffna International Trade Fair as the Chief Guest commenced. She extended wishes to the organizers for the success of the exhibition.
The inauguration ceremony was held at Jaffna Public Library on 24th January 2020. Governor, Consulate General India-Jaffna, Mayor of Jaffna Municipal Council, Foreign Guests, Organizers, Chairmen and members of Jaffna Chambers of Commerce, the officials from business firms, Coordinating Secretaries of Governor, Officers of Media Institutions and a large number of the public attended at this inauguration event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor congratulated all those organizing the event. She hoped that such exhibitions would help investors to promote our products internationally. Our ancestors were the helmsmen but today we face the plight of sending refugees in boats. This situation must be changed. She also hoped.
The President and the Government of this country have sent me here to enhance the development activities of the province by further strengthening the province in all sectors, especially in the business sector. She said she hopes that everyone should work together to advance all sectors in order to come up with solutions to the problems.
