Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan said above when he participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Medical Exhibition II – 2019 which was held at Kilinochchi campus of Jaffna University on 02nd April 2019. He officially opened the exhibition.
Medical Faculty of Jaffna University celebrates its 40th anniversary. To mark this achievement, this medical exhibition was organized by the faculty in Kilinochchi. Governor said that he is proud of opening this exhibition.
The educated and wealthy people left this country. Only a few live here to serve our nation. When I came here, some of you have mentioned that I am not the son of this land. I would like to live in your hearts even though I don’t belong to this land. You have a great responsibility to heal our country which has been broken down. There are many challenges in the journey of responsibility. He further added.
He also pointed out that Northern Province needs 900 doctors and 1000 nurses. This is a big challenge for us.
