A Training programme on bee keeping was held at Herbal Village – Kalmadunagar on 21st of September – 2023 at 9.00 am. Mr.S.Niroshan – Small Enterprise Divisions Officer – Divisional Secretariat Kandavalai was participated as resource person.
Benefits of honey and bees, brief account of bees in bee hive, life cycle of bees, factors which should be considered in bee keeping and equipment needed for bee keeping were discussed in this training.
In addition to that the practical session was held on catching bees at Periyakulam in which diversity of bees is high.
Around 30 individuals including medical officers other officers from herbal village, Kalmadunagar and public participated in this training.
