Governor of the Northern Province Mrs. PSM Charles had recently directed all responsible officials of the Road Development Department and Road Safety Council to expedite the process and take some steps. Accordingly, the Jaffna Municipal Council has commenced the task of catching the stray dogs in Jaffna from 25th February 2020.
More than forty-five dogs have been disposed of so far, the supervising officer said.
