With the people of the Northern Province, I congratulate the Present elect Honorable Gotabaya Rakapaksha as the 7th Executive President of Sri Lanka at his historical victory.
Our motherland needs a new direction, vision and dedicated hard work to regain her legitimate position locally and internationally.
We wish that the new president will have that courage to take every section of this country irrespective of their politics, ethnicity and religion in his journey of success.
The people of the Northern Province will dedicate themselves to construct a united Sri Lanka – a land of democracy, equality and prosperity for all her citizens
