The newly built classrooms were handed over to students on January 28, 2019, as part of the development programs undertaken in various schools of Jaffna with the financial assistance of the Government of India.
Dr. Shilpak N. Ambule, Deputy High Commissioner (Appellate Authority) High Commission of India and Dr. Suren Raghavan, Governor of Northern Province participated in this event and jointly handed over the classrooms which were built at Navatkuli Maha Vidyalayam and Chavakachcheri Drieberg College.
