New Governor of the Northern Province, Hon. Dr. Suren Raghavan assumed office at the auspicious time on 09th January 2019 in Jaffna. At a gathering of locals in the Old Park premises of the Secretariat in Jaffna, the Secretary to the Governor L.Ilaangovan welcomed new Governor.
Religious leaders, Chairman of Northern Provincial Council CVK Sivagnanam, Former Opposition Leader of Northern Provincial Council S.Thavarajah, Mayor of Jaffna Emmanuel Arnold, Chief Secretary of Northern Province A.Pathinathan, Indian Consul General, Jaffna S.Balachandran, Government Agents of all five districts of the province, Secretaries and heads of departments, high ranking officials of police and security forces and other officials also took part in this event.
