Mr. Ledchumanan Ilaangovan assumed his duties as the Chief Secretary of the Northern Province on 15th of March 2024 at the Chief Secretary’s Secretariat, Northern Province Complex following his appointment given by His Excellency President.
During this event, the Chairman of Northern Provincial Council, Secretaries to the Ministries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Officers of various offices in the Provincial Council Complex, and well-wishers welcomed the new Chief Secretary in a traditional manner.
At the auspicious time of 9.20 am, accompanied by religious observances, the new Chief Secretary signed and officially began his duties.
Secretaries to the Ministries, Deputy Chief Secretaries extended their congratulations and wishes to the newly appointed Chief Secretary during the event.
Additionally, the New Chief Secretary formally handed over his assumption of duty letter to the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province.
