Governor Suren Raghavan met some Sri Lankan Tamil representatives residing in the UK last week (Oct 31) in London.
He briefed Tamil representatives living in the UK, about the activities and structural changes carried out as the first Tamil Governor of the Northern Province, to take Northern Province towards the development path. Governor also stated that he looks forward to their assistance in advancing the Northern Province on the further development path. Tamil Diaspora is able to assist the province by investments.
Governor also stated that the Northern Cooperative Development Bank has been set up with transparencies to facilitate these investments and that the Tamils Diaspora can make investments in the Northern Province through this Bank.
