Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan directly visited the minor tanks in Vavuniya District which are renovated under the ‘Climate Resilient Integrated Water Management Project’ implemented by Ministry Mahaweli Development and Environment as per the vision of President Maithripala Sirisena.
Accordingly, Governor visited Mathaguvaithakulam, Sinnathambanaikulam, Kalesiyampalavaikulam, and Thuttuvagaikulam and had a casual conversation with the farmers in those areas.
On this inspection visit, Wanni Parliamentarian Kadar Mastan, Government Agent of Vavuniya District, In-charge officers of the project from Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment and representatives of Vavuniya District Farmers’ Associations also accompanied.
