Hon. Governor of Southern Province Dr.Willie Gamage called the staff of Northern Province Tourism Bureau (NPTB) who were on a tourism promotional campaign in Southern Province. He appreciated the staff for conducting such promotional campaign in Southern Province to attract tourists especially domestic tourists to North. Hon. Governor advised many ideas which shall be implemented in Northern Province to boost tourism sector. A gift hamper with Northern traditional items was presented to the Hon. Governor of Southern Province by the Director of Northern Province Tourism Bureau. Hon. Governor also presented a Southern Tourism Souvenir publication to the Director of NPTB.
At the discussion which was held on 14th August 2023, Chairman of the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau Mr.Channa Sri Saliya Mendis, Managing Director of Ruhunu Tourist Bureau Mr.D.A.Heman Dharmapriya, representatives of tourism associations in Southern Province, Director of Northern Province Tourism Bureau Mr.S.Kishokkumar and Tourism Promotion Officer of NPTB Mr.S.Yoharajan also participated.
