For the first time in its history, the Governor’s Secretariat – Northern Province has applied for the “National Productivity Awards” conducted by the National Productivity Secretariat under the Clean Sri Lanka Programme.
In this context, the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, today – on Tuesday, 21 July 2026 personally visited and inspected the productivity improvement initiatives currently being carried out by the Governor’s Secretariat.
The Hon. Governor visited each division of the Governor’s Secretariat, observed the efficient work processes, documentation practices and improvements to the office environment that have been implemented and also provided the officers with the necessary advice and guidance.
It is noteworthy that the Secretary to the Governor, Sivapathasundaram Sathiyaseelan, also accompanied the Governor during this special inspection visit.
