Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan met Bishop of Jaffna Diocese Justin Bernard Gnanapragasam at his house on 28th March 2019.
The problems faced by Catholics in the Diocese of Jaffna and in the Northern Province and how they can be solved were taken into discussion.
The Bishop requested the Governor to take action to release the Catholic churches and other religious places which are under the control of security forces in the high-security zones of North.
At the end of the meeting, the Bishop gave his blessing for the Buddhist Conference which will be held in Vavuniya on 29th March 2019. He also appreciated the Governor for his effective activities and blessed him.
