Field day on mango cultivation was arranged at Mailankulam village on 31 March 2019. Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture K.Theivendram participated as chief guest. Deputy Director of Agriculture (Ext.) Mrs.A.Sakeelabanu, Agriculture Instructors and nearby farmers were also participating on this occasion. The variety TOM EJC is being cultivated under drip irrigation system as a measure of water conservation and efficient utilization of water. Around 76 mango plants are being managed by this farmer. In addition, he is practicing Papaya in 1.5 ac and Passion (200 Nos) as well. Now these 4 – 5 feet height mango plants have reached their fruiting stage for the second time. Therefore this field day had been arranged to diversify this technique among surrounding farmers.
