A field day event had been organized at District Agriculture Training Center, Vavuniya on 26.07.2023 by the Office of the Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture, Vavuniya with the theme of Sustainable Agriculture towards Self-reliance economy. In this field day event farmers were demonstrated and instructed on Modern agriculture Cultivation technologies, Good Agriculture Practices, Beekeeping technology, Mushroom Cultivation technology, Organic agriculture technologies, Preparation of Organic Fertilizers and Pesticides and Livestock rearing technologies.
Mr. S. M. Samen Bandulasena, Chief Secretary of Northern Province graced the event as the chief guest and District Secretary of Vavuniya Mr. Sarath Chandra, Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Northern Province Mr. Mariyathasan Jegu and Provincial Director of Agriculture Ms. Sukanthini Senthilkumaran as the guests of honors.
