An Event on Introduction and Implementation Methods of Cinnamon Cultivation in Dry zone was held on 25.07.2024 at 10.00 am under the leadership of Mrs.S.Jegatheeswary, Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture, Kilinochchi at District Agriculture Training Center, Vaddakachchi.
The event aimed to implement cinnamon cultivation on a quarter-acre plot. It included a planting, complete explanations of cultivation methods, training management guidance, and demonstrations of cinnamon-based snacks and tea preparation.

Sribaskaran, Planning Director, District Secretariat, Kilinochchi, Mrs. Sukanthini Senthilkumaran, Provincial Director of Agriculture, Northern Province was participated as the special guest of the event. Mr. S. Aravindan, Project Officer, DEV Pro, Kilinochchi was participated as the honorable guest of the event. Mr. Babu, Provincial deputy project Director, CSIAP, Mr. Sathyanathan, Grama Niladhari, Sivik Center, Mr. Sivamohan, President, Iranaimadu Famer Organization, Mr. M. Rajithan, Lecturer, Agricultural College, Paranthan, principals, teachers, and students from Vattakachchi Central College, Ramanathapuram Maha Vidyalayam, and Ramanathapuram West GTMS, officers from Regional agricultural research and development center,Iranaimadu, Samurdhi Bank officer from Vattakachchi, Officers from School of Agriculture Paranthan, Officers from Rice Research Station, Paranthan, Subject maters officers, Agriculture Instructors, Farmer Organization members, and Farmers also participated in the event.
