The Capacity Development of Local Government Project (CDLG) funded by European Union is being implemented in the Northern Province by UNDP through the Department of Local Government, Northern Province. The ceremony to distribute the COVID-19 protective & preventive equipment and items to Local Authorities was held on 16th July 2020 on the emergency requirement .
Governor of Northern Province participated on the occasion and handed over the equipment.
Chief Secretary, Northern Province A.Pathinathan, Secretary of Local Government, Northern Province, Integrated Services Team Leader and CDLG Project Manager of UNDP also participated the occasion.
Deputy Chief Secretary- Planning, Deputy Mayor of Municipal Council – Jaffna, some chairman, Commissioner of Municipal Council – Jaffna , ACLGs and Secretaries of Local Authorities also participated.
