On the directive of the President of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena, the first working day of the year – 2019 was convened at 9.00 am on 1st January, 2019 at the premises of the Chief Secretary’s Secretariat, Kaithady with the presence of the Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance, Administration, Engineering Services, Chief Internal Audit, Chief Accountants, the staff officers and the officers attached to Chief Secretary’s Cluster.
Chief Secretary A.Pathinathan hoisted the national flag and the Deputy Chief Secretary Mrs. S.Mohanathan hoisted the provincial flag and singing of national anthem. was followed. Then two minutes silence was observed to commemorate the late heroes, who had sacrificed their lives on behalf of the motherland.
Chief Secretary Mr. A.Pathinathan addressed about the dedicated untiring service of the all public servants to achieve the goals on sustainability for promoting our country Sri Lanka with sufficiency and prosperity and should be free from drugs. Continuing the speech, all the officers had the oath of the public service, as described in the PA circular, led by the DCS – Finance R.Pathmanathan. The vote of thanks was delivered by the cluster Accountant N.Jeyganesh and all the participants were refreshed.
