A special discussion on Vadamarachchi Lagoon Drinking Water Project was held yesterday (22) at the office of Ministry of City Planning, Water Supply, and Higher Education.
The project which was proposed by the Engineer Guganeswararajah to meet the drinking water requirements of around 630,000 people living in the Jaffna peninsula received Cabinet approval and it will be inaugurated by His Excellency President Maithripala Sirisena next month.
