The 17th discussion regarding the development programs being carried out in the districts under the concept of ‘One Village One Country’ was held today (01.11.2023) under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at Vavunia District Secretariat.
Northern Province Governor Honorable Mrs P.S.M. Charles, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament and Public Representatives, Secretaries of Northern Province Council and Heads of Government Institutions participated in the discussion.
Agriculture projects including food security project, infrastructural development and other development projects of Vavuniya district were discussed here.
Honorable Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said here to take immediate action to submit the complete report of the students who failed in the A/L and O/L examinations of in Northern Province schools.
Also Minister said that despite the economic crisis in the country, the development activities will continue as much as possible and that special attention has been paid to the development of Vavuniya district.
After this discussion, the Honorable Prime Minister went to the Vavuniya Municipal Council and started the process of easy online tax payment through new technology.
