A review discussion on Water supply plans for Jaffna and Kilinochchi was held on 22nd of June 2021 at 9.30 am at Governor’s Secretariat under the Chairmanship of Governor of the Northern Province Hon.Mrs.P.S.M Charles.The secretary to the Governor, the Assistant secretary to the Governor, the Additional Government Agent (Land), Planning Engineer, Divisional secretary of Maruthankeni , District Chief Post Master and staff representing planning sector were also present at the discussion.
Progress of the past activities was discussed in detail. While commenting on the discussion, the Hon. Governor said that it had been instructed by the Government that not to initiate any new projects as there is no new fund allocations this year. Further, Water supply project which are going to be initiate in Maruthankeni Divisional Secretariat, Vadamaradchi East was discussed in detail.
