Solar energy integrated crop cultivation

As a part of the Agriculture promotion week a training program on solar energy integrated with crop cultivation technologies was arranged in Pavatkulam on 09.10.2019. At present harvested solar energy is widely used to pump the water from the deep water sources as free energy source which sometimes used by the farmers for their home needs when they get additional units.

Using this energy the water can be lifted to a minimum 40 ft of height and able to pump continuously from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm during shiny days. During cloudy days they are able to run the pump until 3.00 pm. This system of irrigation enable them to utilize family labourers. Therefore the labourer cost  is reduced. At the same time , they spend a little for their electricity bill.
