Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka David McKinnon called on Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan at his secretariat in Jaffna on 04th June 2019.
The current situation of the province and improving tourism activities of the north were discussed in this meeting.
It was also focused on what kind of development activities should be prescribed to fulfill the needs of the north people and how the Canadian government can assist in the activities.
Furthermore, things to improve the education level of Jaffna in association with Canadian Universities and issues of refugees were also discussed during the meeting.
