The inaugural event for the 2026 Yala season machinery paddy transplanting program, implemented by the Union Vizhuthugal Youth Farmer Club under the technical guidance of the Kilinochchi District Deputy Director of Agriculture’s Office, was held on 16.03.2026 in the Vannerikkulam Agricultural Instructor Range.
The event was conducted under the leadership of Mr. T.Thusanth, Technical Assistant of Vannerikkulam. Participants included Mrs.S.Vijayathasan, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Subject Mater officers, Agricultural Instructors, members of the Union Vizhuthugal organization, and farmers.
It is notable that the Union Vizhuthugal Youth Farmer Club has planned to carry out Machinery paddy transplanting over an extent of 40 acres.
