The progress review meeting of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Rehabilitation, Social Services, Cooperatives, Food Supply and Distribution, Industries, Entrepreneurship Development, and Trade and Commerce of the Northern Province was held this evening – on Friday 06 March 2026, at the Governor’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan.
During the discussion, the achievements of the programs implemented in 2025 and the progress of the programs that are currently being carried out were reviewed in detail. Special attention was also given to the effective implementation of new development and social advancement initiatives identified for the current year, 2026.
The special progress review meeting was attended by the Secretary to the Governor of the Northern Province, the Secretary of the Provincial Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Provincial Directors, the Commissioner of Provincial Department of Cooperative Development, and several other senior officials from the relevant sectors.
