A special cultural gala organized to commemorate India’s 77th Republic Day, under the auspices of the Deputy High Commission of India in Jaffna, was held this evening – on Monday 26.01.2026, at the Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre in Jaffna.
The Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, graced the occasion as the Special Guest.
This evening event was held at the invitation of the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Jaffna, Sai Murali, and featured vibrant cultural performances reflecting rich cultural traditions.
During the event, the Governor of the Northern Province conveyed his Republic Day greetings to the Deputy High Commissioner of India and enjoyed the cultural performances presented.
The event was attended by Hon. Members of Parliament from the Northern Province, former Members of Parliament and former Provincial Council Members, Secretaries of Northern Provincial Ministries, Heads of Departments, religious leaders, civil society representatives, leading figures from the business community, journalists, and officials of the Deputy High Commission of India.
