The ‘Saathanai Thamizhan’ (Achieved Tamizhan) award ceremony for 2025, presented by DAN Television, took place in Jaffna.
This award was presented during a special Pongal festival organized by DAN Television at the Jaffna Thiruvalluvar Cultural Hall yesterday evening 17 January 2025. Hon. Governor of Northern Province Nagalingam Vethanayahan graced the event as Chief Guest. Hon. Governor along with Hon. Chairman of Northern Province Council C.V.K. Sivagnanam, Hon. Parliamentarian S. Sritharan, and Hon. Mayor of Jaffna Municipal Council Mrs. V. Mathivathani, jointly presented the 2025 ‘Saathanai Thamizhan’ award and honored Nathaswara Chakkaravarthi Balamurugan.
DAN Television annually selects and honors outstanding personalities who have achieved excellence in various fields in Sri Lanka with this award. In this regard, it is noteworthy that Nathaswara Chakkaravarthi Balamurugan has been selected for this award this time.
