Ammaachi Traditional food center located near the Vavuniya New Bus Stand and within the premises of the University of Vavuniya were renovated under the Provincial Specific Development Grant Fund and were reopened on 02.01.2026.
The reopening ceremony was attended by Mr. B. A. Sarathchandra, Government Agent, Mr. S. Sivasri, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture(NP), Mrs. S. Senthilkumaran, Provincial Department of Agriculture(NP) Mr.T.Yogeswaran, Additional Provincial Department of Agriculture(NP), Mrs. Judith Malini Muralitharan, Deputy Director of Agriculture,Mr. S. Sarvanantha, Deputy Director of Irrigation; lecturers and students of the University of Vavuniya, and officers of the Department of Agriculture, among others.
