A special mobile land service was held today – on Friday, 21 November 2025, with the aim of resolving long-standing unresolved land issues in the Kandavalai Divisional Secretariat Division of the Kilinochchi District.
Hon Governor of Northern Province N. Vethanayahan personally participated in the event, held at the Kandavalai Divisional Secretariat Conference hall, listening directly to the land-related concerns of the public. Seventeen land-related complaints taken up for review were examined in detail, and solutions were provided for each of them.
Mr. S. Muralitharan – Kilinochchi District Secretary, Mr. R. Guruparan – Provincial Land Commissioner, Northern Province, Mrs. Pratheepan Ajitha – Additional District Secretary (Lands), Kilinochchi District Secretariat, Mr. T. Brunthakaran Kandavalai Divisional Secretary, and other officials participated in this event.
